Student Contract Agreement

Payment agreement: Payment must be made with a pre-authorized credit card. You will be emailed an itemized copy of the invoice when your payment is processed notifying you of the date and amount. You will only be charged for lessons on days we are open; we will not include any days we know teachers will be unavailable, nor any days where the academy is closed due to holidays. In the event that a teacher is unavailable during the regular lesson time, we will do our best to reschedule the lesson with the teacher or find a substitute teacher at the same lesson time. Off- peak discount is applied to lessons that end before 3pm or start at/after 7pm (subject to teacher availability).

For Continuous Plans: On the 20th of each month, we will run the card for the following month of lessons.
For Pay As You Go (PAYG) Plans: We will run the card at the beginning of the week for each scheduled lesson.

Rescheduling a lesson: We will reschedule lessons canceled with at least four hours’ advance notice of the lesson start time. If we don’t receive four hours’ advance notice, the lesson will be forfeited — no exceptions! Although we open at 2pm, please email the Academy outside of regular business hours to notify us of your cancellation (phone messages are not usually checked before 2pm). Saturday and Sunday students must email before midnight the night before in order to cancel a lesson. In the case of teacher cancellations or weather-related closings, we will either make up the lesson (at no charge, and this doesn’t count as your free make-up for the month) or credit your account toward a future payment.

For Continuous Plan: We will schedule one free make-up per month, provided we receive at least 4 hours’ notice. You will be charged a $6 administrative fee for any subsequent make-up lessons provided. Make up lessons for student cancellations must be scheduled within 30 days of the original absence date.

For PAYG Plan: Payment for the canceled lesson will be applied to the next scheduled lesson. Withdrawing from lessons:

Continuous – If you wish to cancel your enrollment, you must let us know via email or in writing before (not on) the 20th of the previous month. If you did not submit a request withdraw by the 20th, and payment has been processed, no refunds or credits will be given whatsoever. Any remaining unpaid balance on your account is expected to be paid at the time of withdrawal from lessons.

PAYG – We assume you are coming to your scheduled lessons unless you tell us otherwise. Please notify us via email if you’d like to stop lessons, and we will update your account accordingly and remove you from the schedule.
