Jessica Prus Harris – Owner
Jessica has been the owner of Stafford Music Academy since August of 2012. She holds a Master of Music Education degree from Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music as well as a Bachelor of Music in flute performance and a Music Business Certificate from Northwestern University. She also holds a Master of Music degree in flute performance from the University of Louisville. Jessica has been teaching piano and flute at Stafford Music Academy since 2008.
Eric Bowling – Office Manager
Hailing from Missouri, Eric Bowling has enjoyed playing the flute for over fifteen years. Eric completed his Bachelors of Music from Truman State University before moving to Indiana to finish both his Master of Music and Performer's Diploma from Indiana University in the Jacobs School of Music. Eric has been teaching privately for over seven years in both flute and music theory. As an avid supporter of new music, Eric frequently premieres new works for the flute and acts as a consultant for emerging composers. Eric is the Adjunct Instructor of Woodwinds at Vincennes University where he teaches privately as well as directs the VU Woodwind Ensemble. He performs regularly with the Southern Indiana Wind Ensemble (SIWE), Holographic, and has performed with the Bloomington Pops, Bloomington Chamber Singers, Owensboro Symphony, and Voces Novae. Eric lives in Bloomington, where he bases his studio and freelances in the surrounding Southern Indiana region.
Rachel Detroja – Office Manager
Christopher Stafford – Founder
Chris founded the Stafford Music Academy in 2005, teaching 25 students out of his living room. With Undergraduate and Graduate degrees in Composition and Music Theory, he provided a breadth of musical knowledge to his students. Chris sold the business to Jessica in 2012 so that he could enroll as an MBA student in Supply Chain and Business Analytics at IU's Kelley School of Business. After graduating in 2014, he moved to Chicago to work as a Supply Chain Project Manager at James Hardie Building Products
